Win 15 ranked games in a season and you earn that season's Victorious skin. The wins can come from Solo/Duo, Flex or both, and you need Honor level 3. With the skin come the champion if you don't own it, a chroma that matches your final rank, and the champion's Eternals Series 2 capsule. That is the list on Riot's rewards page (dated 14 May 2025, still current for 2026). Riot sends the rewards shortly after the next season starts.
Victorious skin: requirements this season
Riot's page on ranked years, seasons and end-of-season rewards is the only source for the rule, and it is short. “Starting with Season One of 2025, you can earn Victorious skins each season just by winning 15 Ranked games.” Then: “These wins can happen in Solo/Duo, Flex, or a combination of the two.” And: “your Victorious rewards will be based on your final rank for that season.”
| Reward | Riot's wording | What decides it |
|---|---|---|
| Victorious skin | Earned “just by winning 15 Ranked games” | 15 wins, Honor 3 |
| The champion | “The Victorious champion, in case you don't have it already” | Comes with the skin |
| Chroma | “A Victorious Skin Chroma matching your final rank” | Your final rank that season |
| Eternals | “The champion's Eternal Series 2 Capsule” | Comes with the skin |
Three things the page does not say, so we don't: which champion gets the skin this season (Riot names it in its end-of-season article), which chroma belongs to which rank, and whether placement wins count toward the 15. The 15-win mission starts over each season; the 26.15 notes say the “Victorious Ranked Mission” refreshes at season start, so wins from Season 2 do not carry into Season 3.
Where sources disagree: Google's answers for the same question gave “15 wins and Honor 3” on one day and “Gold IV and Honor 2” on another. The first is Riot's current rule. The second is the rule from before 2025, when the skin required Gold; Riot's page dates the change to Season One of 2025.
Ranked borders, crests and emblems
Riot's rewards page calls the rank visuals “regalia” and lists two: crests, shown on your profile, on the loading screen and, if you choose, as a border around your summoner icon; and loading-screen borders. Both “show your current rank”. That is the point most pages miss: they are not a season reward you receive in January, they are live. Climb from Gold to Platinum in October and your crest and border change that day; drop back and they drop with you. The emblem on your profile is the same crest.
The border most people find when they search for “ranked borders” is a different thing: the frame around your profile that changes with your summoner level, which every account earns by playing, ranked or not. If a friend has a fancier frame at a lower rank, that is the level border.
Honor and eligibility
One rule: Riot's page says “you need to be at least Honor Level 3 to receive your rewards”. It names no other restriction, and we don't add one. In practice a chat restriction or a ranked restriction tends to come with a drop in Honor, which is the part that matters here. The page also notes that a server transfer costs your rank on the old server, so transfer after rewards, not before.
Solo/Duo vs Flex rewards
The 15 wins can come from either queue or both, but the rank-based parts are per queue. Riot's tiers page says you “earn rewards unique to your Solo tier at the end of the season” and, separately, “rewards unique to your Flex tier”. So a Gold Solo/Duo player who is Platinum in Flex has a Platinum Flex crest during the season, and the rewards page's “final rank” language applies to each queue's own rank. Riot's pages do not say which queue's rank picks the chroma when the two differ, so we don't either.
When rewards arrive
Riot gives no fixed date. Its rewards page says only that end-of-season information “usually drops about a month before the end of each season”. The clearest statement of timing is in the patch 26.15 notes, which said the end-of-Season-2 rewards would be distributed shortly after Season 3 started and that server transfers were paused until those rewards had been granted. Expect the same for Season 3: rewards a short while into the first season of 2027, with the exact end date of Season 3 still unannounced as of 30 October 2026. The dates and what is claimed about them are on when the season ends.
Keeping your tier until the end
The chroma follows your final rank, so the last weeks matter in two ways. Demotion: a loss that takes you below 0 LP drops you a division, and out of a tier you land on 25, 50 or 75 LP of the tier below. If you are at 10 LP in Platinum IV in the last week, one loss changes your chroma. Decay: in Diamond and above, days without a game cost LP once your bank is empty, and Riot's apex page says decay “cycles one final time on the last day of the season”, so keep one more banked day than there are days left. How the bank works, and how not to decay before the season closes, is in the decay guide; the demotion rules are in how demotion works.

Questions
What kind of rewards can I earn in Ranked?
That is the question on Riot's Ranked FAQ, and its rewards page answers it: the season's Victorious skin for 15 ranked wins, the Victorious champion if you don't have it, a Victorious chroma matching your final rank, and the champion's Eternals Series 2 capsule. Your rank crest and loading-screen border are regalia that show your current rank during the season, not end-of-season items.
Do you need Gold for the Victorious skin?
Not anymore. Riot's page says that starting with Season One of 2025 you earn the skin by winning 15 ranked games, in any rank. Your final rank decides which chroma you get with it. Pages that say Gold IV is required describe the rule before 2025.
When are ranked rewards distributed?
Riot's rewards page gives no fixed date. Its patch 26.15 notes said the Season 2 rewards would be distributed shortly after Season 3 started, and that is the pattern: a few days to weeks into the next season. Riot's end-of-season article, which names the skin, usually appears about a month before the season ends. See when the season ends.
What is the difference between ranked borders and level borders?
A ranked border, Riot calls it a loading-screen border and a crest, shows your current rank in that queue and updates as you climb. A level border is the frame around your profile that changes with your summoner level, which anyone earns by playing. Most pages ranking for 'ranked borders' are about the second one.
