Porofessor vs Blitz: which League app fits you in 2026?

Porofessor for lobby scouting and live-game information; Blitz for automatic runes and builds and for playing several games in one app. Both are free with ads and both are Windows apps. Neither has published a response to Riot's October 2026 memory notice that we could find (checked October 30, 2026).

Updated . Written by the maker of LazyElo, so read it as one side's view; every fact about another app or about Riot links to its source, and where our sources are silent the page says so. Both sites block automated reads, so several cells quote rival apps' comparisons, named as such. LazyElo appears only at the end, as a third option.

The memory figure for Porofessor was measured by iTero, a rival app, in March 2026 and is not a standard test; we found no measurement for Blitz we could source. Hexgate and Khaos Studio, cited above, make rival apps too.

Before the game

This is where the two apps differ most. Porofessor's lobby scouting is what made its name: for every player, rank, win rate and KDA on the champion, main roles and player tags such as one-trick or on a losing streak, plus the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, from the last 30 days of normal and ranked games. Blitz shows each player's rank, win rate, recent performance and most-played champions, without the tags.

In champ select both import runes, builds and summoner spells with one click; Blitz adds pro builds and pick and ban suggestions, Porofessor ban suggestions and counterpick tips. If you want the app to set up your client for you, either does it. If you want to read the lobby, Porofessor goes deeper.

In game

Porofessor's overlay shows jungle, objective and inhibitor timers, the team gold difference, gold and CS at 10 and 20 minutes, and a build overlay with the next item to buy. Blitz's overlays are a benchmarking overlay that tracks your own key numbers, a jungle pathing overlay, and minimap timers for jungle camps, inhibitors and dragon respawns.

What neither shows any more: enemy ultimate timers. Riot banned those for all apps from March 13, 2025, and its developer rules forbid information “not present in the game client” that gives an edge. Jungle timers are not in that list; the game has had its own since patch 25.17.

After the game

Porofessor gives charts on your farming, fighting, vision and objectives, a matchup review, and Player Performance Tracking, open to all users since 2026. Blitz gives post-match analysis and match history. In our sources neither has a goal-setting tool that measures one thing over a run of games; if that is what you want, Mobalytics and LazyElo are the names to look at.

What players complain about

User reports and reviews, quoted with their dates. They say what some players ran into, not what every player will.

Blitz: charges and ads

Blitz has 2.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 94 reviews (checked October 29, 2026), 67% of them one star. The recent ones are about unexpected charges, freezes and the ads in the free version:

  • “constantly charged my bank account for $24.99 when I never use it” (February 26, 2026)
  • “my computer freeze when i have this installed” (June 16, 2026)
  • “intrusive malicious ads, autoplay videos with audio on” (May 16, 2024)

Porofessor: FPS, lag and the labels

The reports around Porofessor are about performance, not charges: lower frame rates, lag or higher ping on lower-end PCs, mostly tied to the Overwolf build, and a Reddit thread where a player's “screen keeps freezing during loading screen”. Some players also call the tags it puts on teammates toxic. These are Reddit threads Google's AI answer cites, not measurements; the only published memory figure, about 1,000 MB in a game with Overwolf, was measured by iTero, a rival app.

And Mobalytics?

The three-way question comes up on the same searches. Mobalytics is the coaching app of the three: a score over eight skills, a post-game report that ranks you in your game, clips of your key plays, and Mobalytics Plus at $9.99 a month. It is also the only one of the three whose desktop app still needs Overwolf. If your choice is between Porofessor and Mobalytics, Porofessor vs Mobalytics takes that one apart; the Mobalytics alternative page holds it next to LazyElo.

A third option without ads or Overwolf

LazyElo is our app, so weigh this as the maker's account.
  • No ads, no Overwolf, no browser engine

A native Windows app. The free plan has no ads and no end date.
  • Lobby scouting with the reasons

A score per player with what it rests on, premades in their own color, where the enemy jungler usually starts and a win chance per team, in the loading screen.
  • A scoreboard overlay, no timers

The TAB scoreboard per lane and each ult's fixed cooldown from the patch data. It never tracks when an enemy used an ability.
  • Measured

We measured 428 MB of RAM idle in the lobby and 511 MB during a game with the overlay on at 0.0% CPU. An FPS test with and without LazyElo is still in progress, so we make no FPS claim yet.
  • What it doesn't do

No rune or build import, no timers or alerts, no TFT, no Mac. Plus is €4.99 a month or €39 a year, with 7 days free. The full pages: Porofessor next to LazyElo and Blitz next to LazyElo.

Light on your PC

What LazyElo asks of your PC: first what follows from how it is built, then what we measured. We only put a number here once we have measured it.

By design

  • Native, without Overwolf

A Windows app of its own. No Overwolf and no browser engine running next to your game.

  • No ads

Nothing in the app loads ads or ad videos, in the lobby or during a game.

  • A small overlay

The overlay is a separate see-through window. It only draws scoreboard info and redraws twice a second.

  • Nothing inside the game

LazyElo reads the client and the game's own live data through the local connections Riot provides. It never runs inside the game process and never reads game memory.

Measured

In the lobby, idle

During a game, overlay on

What Riot says, in one paragraph

Riot publishes no list of safe apps: “we can't provide a full list of which ones are safe to use”. It names behaviour instead, such as “Taking actions on your behalf (botting or scripting)” and “Drawing conclusions for you during gameplay”. Since October 6, 2026 it also blocks game memory access “by default for all unknown third-party applications”, with a grace period to April 2027 for tools it knows, and it says that change “This change does not result in bans by itself”. Google's AI answer says Riot has approved both apps; Riot itself says nothing of the kind about any app, so this page doesn't either.

Questions and answers

Is Blitz better than Porofessor?

For automatic runes and builds and for playing several games in one app, Blitz. For reading the lobby, Porofessor: it tags every player and shows their stats on the champion, where Blitz shows rank, win rate and recent form without tags. Both are free with ads; Blitz Premium is $4.99 a month, Porofessor publishes no price. Neither is lighter by any figure we could source for both.

Is Blitz bannable in LoL?

Riot names no app, Blitz included, and says it can't provide a full list of safe apps. What it bans is behaviour: taking actions on your behalf, drawing conclusions for you during gameplay, exposing hidden information. Blitz's own features in our sources are imports, overlays and timers; whether any part reads game memory, which Riot blocks for unknown apps since October 6, 2026, Blitz hasn't said publicly as far as we found. Download it only from blitz.gg: a scam that borrows the name ranks for this search.

Is Porofessor still allowed?

Riot has never named Porofessor either way. Porofessor says it is approved by Riot, on its X account in 2022 and as “Riot Games Compliant” on its download page; those are the maker's words. It removed enemy ult timers when Riot banned them in March 2025 and has had a standalone build since December 2025. On Riot's October 2026 memory notice we found no Porofessor statement as of the check date. The full picture is on the Porofessor safety page.

What can I use instead of Blitz?

If you leave because of the ads, LazyElo has none in any plan; Porofessor, Mobalytics and U.GG show ads in their free versions. If you leave because you want player tags in the lobby, Porofessor. If you used Blitz for builds, the U.GG and OP.GG websites have them with nothing to install. The Blitz alternative page holds Blitz and LazyElo side by side.

Try the third option next to the one you use now

Run LazyElo next to Porofessor or Blitz for a few games and keep the one you like. It is free and only reads the client.
