How to play Anivia in ARAM Mayhem
Anivia is one of the weakest picks in ARAM Mayhem on patch 26.21: tier D, #165 of 173 champions, with a 45.2% win rate over 559,804 games. Riot rates it 10/10 for difficulty, so give it a few games before you judge it.
91% of Anivia's damage to champions is magic, so enemy magic resist is what slows it down. Its damage numbers are modest (29,896 to champions per game); its value is in what it enables rather than raw damage. With 62 seconds of crowd control per game it is one of the team's main sources of lockdown. It dies only 8.7 times per game on average, fewer than most.
The AP build, ability power items, is both the most played and the top-ranked path: Rod of Ages, Liandry's Torment and Archangel's Staff, with a 44.4% win rate over 380,796 games. On this build 41% of players skip boots and spend the slot on another item.
The cards that do best on Anivia are Blue Barrier, Fey Magic and Final Form. Cards built around movement speed fill most of the top of its list, followed by ability haste. Most of its S-tier cards are prismatic, so a prismatic offer is often the pick that shapes the game. Skip Snowday and Overloaded when you can: they do worst on Anivia. A pair to look for: Homeguard with Fey Magic.
Take Flash and Ghost (59% of players). Max E (Frostbite) first, then Q, then W.
